Holmans Bookshop

Established in 1920, Holman's is Whitby's Oldest Independent Bookshop. On 9 November 2025 we celebrated our 105th birthday.

We are situated on Skinner Street on Whitby's West Cliff. Spread over three floors our shop offers newspapers, stationery, jigsaws, greetings cards, books, toys and gifts to both local and visiting customers. Built in 1768, its building is Grade II Listed.
